I hope you like the new chapter. The plot, I hope, thickens.
I am struggling to think of names. If I am writing traditional fantasy I loot shamelessly from history books and make a note of any good typos I make. Modern day is difficult. I am terrified of using a real person's name. Especially if it is a celebrity and I didn't realise - perfectly possible, to my embarrassment.
I hope to increase the pace soon.

I know some people take names from gravestones. Now that would be a very gothic research trip, wouldn't it?
Another great chapter, picking up the pace as you said, still flowing well & not at all clunky. I'm really enjoying it.
P.S, when you are a famous author I'll be able to name drop & say 'Oh yes, I've known her for years, I remember what a little rascle her son was'
hi Sybil
ANother great chapter, thankyou. I especially appreciated the subtle way you did a story-so-far precis at the beginning (because I'm reading it ini instllments as soon as it's posted, details aren't sticking in my mind as they would if I read several chapters at once). I love the storyline, I like the writing, and it's a really enjoiable read.
One observation though. Would the supernaturals really call themselves "non normals"? "non-xx" terms are usually used - even if its subtly - by one group to exclude another. So either the supernaturals would refer to the humans ans "non-xxx", or - more likely in the case of your villiage, where people live happily side by side, each group would have a name, and neither would be non-xx. As I said, it was just an observation.
I'm really looking forward to the next installment, can't wait to see what happens next. Excellent work, well executed.
