Angela - thank you for the comment. I shall grin and bear it and use the money saved to pay for the salt and rinse aid. I'm still getting the hang of the dratted machine. Though it has been a blessing!
The two things it took me years to discover? [1] that rice and sweetcorn clog up the little holes in the rotating arms! Now I regularly take them off and poke out the bits with a pin [or straightened paperclip] It makes a helluva difference to the finished result.[and I am much more diligent about plate scraping before loading too] [2] that it is better to mix the cutlery in the basket rather than sort it out. If you put all the spoons together, they nest and dont come clean! xx
