Finding a positive

Feeling really pleased with myself. I have already changed tarriff for my gas and electric, and now that the supplier finally realises that the new boiler has an impact, I am getting a £500 refund and a lower direct debit, even at the start of winter!

This is very welcome, as apart from anything else, I am due to pay for the next year's holiday which OH will desperately need!

I feel smug, lol. I had checked my meter, guessed that they were overcharging me on the direct debit and sighed with relief when they refunded the overpayment. The money is coming at a really, REALLY useful time! WS x

I can't be bothered switching. But then I'm on card meters for both gas and electric. I'm fairly sure it costs more than a monthly direct debit, but it does allow me to be much more in control of what I spend.
